So today the impossible happened! I found a Pete Wentz quote that made me smile a lot, and I'm gonna share it with you guys.

I don't think most people realise what they say. I mean, you wouldn't go around saying "That's so black" or "That's so Jewish". It doesn't make sense to me.
Also, for those people who use it, some will say "Well a fag is a British term for a cigarette and a faggot is a bundle of sticks." Keep this in mind: Faggots are what people in the old ages used to burn gay people at the stake. And that is where the term came from.
Now, I'm not trying to come across as some Straight-hating dyke, but its just so frustrating to hear people use those words as an insult. Its like, what can we say about society today? We can go up to an LGBT person and call them a Fag to their face, but just TRY going up to a black person and calling them a nigger, or calling a Jewish person a kike, a Mexican a spik, or even an Italian a wop. You'd probably get punched out.
In terms of civil rights, human equality and all that, I consider LGBT rights to be one of the last frontiers. This is not including women's rights in the middle east. I'm not saying I want the LGBT community to rule over Straight people or whatever, I merely wanna see equal rights.
I want to see the Dan Whites and the Aaron McKinneys punished for hating someone for something they can't help, I wanna see the Amercians of the LGBT community able to be Out and still keep their jobs. Is that too much to ask?
